Now, back to serious doughnut business.
These are spicy. They are an amazing side dish to any meal…or you can get crazy and make a sandwich using them. The best? A breakfast sandwich. You could also make them…then cut them up, toast them, and use them as croutons in a butternut squash soup. The possibilities are endless.
- 3 ripe plantains
- 1 t sea salt
- 1 cup oats
- 2t sambal oleik
- 2t turmeric
- ¼ cup coconut oil (plus a little more
- Preheat oven to 350
- Puree everything in the food processor
- Grease donut pan, and spoon batter in. The batter is thick, so feel free to smooth it out with a spatula.
- Bake 20 minutes.
