These are the best doughnuts you’ve never had.

But first: an order of brownie business: Shockingly Healthy Brownies and Blondies will be on trial at Sense Appeal Coffee Roasters starting Tuesday!  If you’re in the neighbourhood, drop by and give them a try!  If you like them, do let the staff know.

Also, I got a little spot in The National Post yesterday!  They called me a “Morning Meal Maven”.  That’s a title I’m happy to have!

Now, back to serious doughnut business.

These are spicy.  They are an amazing side dish to any meal…or you can get crazy and make a sandwich using them.  The best? A breakfast sandwich.  You could also make them…then cut them up, toast them, and use them as croutons in a butternut squash soup.  The possibilities are endless.

Did you know plantain bananas contain more beta carotene than regular bananas?  Consider plantains our new starchy side.  Yum!
